Cultural and linguistic diversity has become more common in today's world with everyone being globally connected. Few people are surprised when they contact a company or connect with a colleague from a different office to find that person might be from a different country or speak a different language. That being said, in a typical classroom, a teacher must not only be aware of cultural and linguistic diversity, she must plan her lessons to encompass those diversities while making certain that ALL students in the classroom can meet the objectives of state standards. In order to this, a teacher must plan carefully and focus on a number of key concepts to help her help her students meet their highest potentials.
This Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Tookit was created as a final project for the Cultural and Linguistic Diversity in the Classroom class (OTL565) in the CSU-Global Online Teaching and Learning master's program.
